At the appointment we will evaluate your hearing and if you have a treatable hearing loss we will send you home with a pair of trial hearing aids . At the end of the trial period the hearing instruments automatically switch off and you return to us for a follow-up appointment . At that stage you will be in a position to make an informed decision as to whether hearing aids are right for you . If you want to proceed with treatment we will order new aids for you . Otherwise you simply hand the trial aids back .
